Magento 2 & its features
Magento 2 is mainly focused to improve the performance and scalability of the platform. You can find lots of structural and functional changes in it while you compare Magento 2 with any Magento 1.x versions. Magento 2 is a complete refactor of the software with essentially the same feature set, so far addressed mainly three areas: technological renewal, enhanced modularity both in the backend and frontend, and improved performance.
Magento 2 offers significantly improved scalability. Full-page caching has been built into the Community Edition, which allows for faster speeds by simply reducing the number of disk reads and network round-trips. But that’s just the tip of the iceberg in terms of all-around performance improvements. Magento 2 has been wholly redesigned from the ground up to be quicker, safer and a lot easier than its now-archaic predecessor.
